		NEWS The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers has awarded Bruce Craig Roter a 2009-2010 ASCAPLUS Award. The annual awards, determined by a panel of distinguished musicians, are given to composers in recognition of recent performances and the prestige value of their catalogues. This represents the 10th award from ASCAP received by the composer. Double Concerto, for Clarinet, Cello and Orchestra by Bruce Craig Roter received its world premiere under the direction of David Bebe with the College of Saint Rose Symphony Orchestra on November 30th, 2009.    Bruce Craig Roter's The days of Struggle and Discovery received its Nevada premiere with the Carson City Symphony under the direction of David Bugli on March 24th with a repeat performance in Fallon, NV on the 25th.    UPCOMING PERFORMANCES: Sonata for Flute and Percussion will receive a reprise performance in Portugal by Flutist Marco Pereira on May 28th, as part of the recital "35 minutos com..." with the theme "Interacções na Música - do Popular ao Erudito."  The work will be performed by Marco Pereira, flute, and Paulo Costa, percussion.  To download the music or hear audio samples, go to  http://www.bruceroter.com/flpercsonat.html
